Liposculpture or liposuction, as it is more commonly known, is a plastic surgery procedure designed to remove stubborn fat and cellulite that does not respond to diet and exercise. Liposculpture can be used as a solitary procedure or in conjunction with other cosmetic surgery  procedures.

This combination offers the plastic surgeon an opportunity of sculpting the body and face. Liposculpture is commonly used as an associated procedure to neck lift, tummy tuck, and breasts cosmetic surgery.

Plastic Surgery length is 30 minutes to two hours, depending on the number of sites treated. It is performed under conscious sedation with local anaesthetic, or under general anaesthesia. Liposculpture can be done on a day-basis but larger areas and particularly multiple sites require an overnight stay in the clinic. Bruises, swelling and tenderness can be expected for a week or two after the procedure.

Who is a candidate for Liposculpture or liposuction?
The ideal candidate has localized deposits of fat but is close to his or her optimal weight. Localized deposits commonly treated by liposuction include fat deposits around the hips, saddle bags, inner thighs, buttocks, love handles, abdomen and neck and breasts.

Are you suffering from your cellulite? Considering Liposuction? Are you aware of the advantages of the tumescent technique?
